First and foremost, I’m a CPG marketer with over 20 years of marketing and advertising experience. I was taught Brand Management fundamentals by some of the best at PepsiCo and General Mills. I have deep experience managing a P&L, being the guardian of brand equity, leading the strategic planning process and delivering compelling campaigns.
But… I love the energy of small, emerging, and high-growth businesses. So much so that I spent 5 years building my own start-up in the beverage space. (Maybe you tried my brand, “Just Craft Soda” at Loblaws or Momofuku?) Building from zero to $2m revenue gave me an invaluable business education and tons of practical learnings.
One of my key competencies is leading innovation processes. For over 15 years I’ve built and managed innovation systems capable of delivering compelling new products, line extensions and renovations. I have a solid track record building brand equity and revenue growth through new product innovation, most recently in the cannabis industry with Tilray and Aurora.
One of my key soft skills is team leadership. For over 10 years as a people manager, I’ve helped coach and build high-performance teams based on the principles of Servant Leadership.
