Hi, I’m Crystal. Being part of this family dynamic has taught me how to listen to varying views, account for differing expectations, and bring people together by focusing on common goals. I started out as a graphic designer and over the last thirty-plus years, I have worked with clients to manage a variety of design projects.
After over 30 years in the design and marketing industry, I align with titles such as creative collaborator, design partner, and visual communicator. My creativity thrives inside frameworks that serve my client’s needs best.
I choose to work with organizations that value their community, clients, and customers. They also avoid marketing trends, and instead create their own opportunities to account for social and technological changes, and with so much AI slop in the world, I focus on creating custom designs that my clients can trust aren’t a knock off of other copyrighted designs. Resiliency in business and life is necessary for growth and staying relevant.
My creative mind doesn’t focus on sticking to what worked in the past, but instead on how we can translate skills and resources in new directions. So even though I started out focusing on print design, when the digital world evolved, I chose to evolve with it while still embracing the elements of print by marrying them with digital marketing and communication platforms.

The Best Fit
I work with medium sized businesses looking to grow, as well as organizations with a mission to create and service proactive and positive services that benefit the community. Whether the need is a corporate re-brand, creation of marketing materials on various platforms or publishers that require experienced print designers to create lasting publications, I work best when collaborating with the client directly. I work together with my clients to create visuals that meet their needs and provide my 26+ years of experience to advise them when things go sideways.Crystal is a great thought partner and true design pro! She asked me the right questions to get stuff out of my head and onto the page, took all my copious words and made them pictures, turned complex concepts into effective visuals. And did it all with a degree of calm, patience, and generosity of time and comfort with the crunchy bits that I really needed.Jennifer Payne Headwaters Communities in Action
