I am a public relations and communications specialist with over ten years of experience in various industries and organizations across Canada. Specializing in media relations, influencer relations and crisis communications, I work with clients to develop strategic communications strategies and robust public relations campaigns.
Based in Edmonton, AB, but with a deep network of Canadian media contacts, my other skillsets include social media management, government relations and event strategy. With a strong project management focus, I am a data-driven professional who excels in high-pressure team leadership roles. In my corporate experience, I spent 5 years as the Media Relations and Crisis Communications Specialist with Edmonton Public Schools, with primary responsibilities including pitching media opportunities for 214+ schools, responding to reactive media requests, managing the Divison’s crisis communications systems and providing strategic government relations advice to the Board of Trustees. In this role, I was often featured as a Division spokesperson for large local and national outlets such as the Globe and Mail, CBC National, CTV National and Canadian Press.
